The end of October is always a bit bittersweet here at Das Bobs World. We are saddened by the fact that the 31 Days of Halloween is over, and that we only have a few more days of buying discount candy until it's gone. But, we do brighten up at the fact that we can award the most sought after, unknown prize in the movie biz. The coveted Silver Scheisse award. To win this award your film has to fail at almost every aspect. A movie that feels like it needs a special type of weirdo to even sit through. A movie that can easily be considered the bottom of the barrel. Past winners like Smash Cut, All Girls Weekend, and Night of Something Strange sit well below the gold standard of the bad movie. Who will join them this year? Let's find out.
Silver Scheisse Runner-up - Winchester
Winchester may seem better than a few films that were in the running this year. Yet the fact remains that this movie had a lot going for it and still managed to be terrible. A fantastic lead actress, with a setting just as good, should lead to at least a mediocre movie. But Winchester wasn't happy with mediocre. It wanted to be bad. It succeeded. Bad and boring writing, terrible plot, awful effects, and just plain bad everything else. Winchester showed some of the other bad movies this year what a bigger budget can really do for you. Silver Scheisse Runner-up #2 - Killer Eye: Halloween Haunt
In contrast to the first runner-up, Killer Eye 2, or Halloween Haunt is a great example of how to make people question whether your film even counts as a film. A Sixty-Nine minute movie with a combined nine minutes of opening and closing credits, and twenty plus minutes of footage from the original Killer Eye makes you question if this counts as a movie or a sort film with ads. See the rest of the movie consists of half naked women standing next to or holding toys and props from other Full Moon movies. Killer Eye 2 reeks of the attitude that Full Moon thinks you'll pay for anything as long as there are boobs in it.
Silver Scheisse Award Winner - Frankenpimp
People toss around the phrase "Worst Movie Ever!" a lot these days. They come out of the theater after watching a big popcorn fluff blockbuster which was all CGI and think it can't get any worse than that, Can it? I am here to tell you it can.
This years Silver Scheisse award winner is the movie that those CGI filled films have night terrors over. A movie that is so incomprehensibly bad that it needed Three Hours and Sixteen minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! to torture your soul with. This movie is...Frankenpimp.
An inescapable black hole of nonsense and bad sound quality that features people in black face, shot on mid-nineties cell phone quality sound and picture, and no editing. Not a single second of this movie was edited. Don't tell me it was, you're lying. It's over three hours long! It has no plot, other than The main character does stuff...and even then there are large chunks of the film without him in it. This movie surpasses anything I have every seen in the realm of crap films. It is not only this years Silver Scheisse award winner...It may be the worst movie ever! I was sure Killer Eye 2 was going to win until watching Frankenpimp. I also want to make sure that readers understand. The Silver Scheisse is not for bad movies I recommend. This is for the movies that hurt you deeply. They cut into you soul and change you forever. They are just bad!
