Real-Life Hauntings -The Pantry Ghost Documentary

Are you too tired to watch a full movie before bed, but awake enough for 40 minutes of a totally real documentary? Then why not give The Pantry Ghost Documentary a try? It's about a ghost that haunts a pantry until they remove the door, then it haunts their house...Seriously.

John, a man obsessed with meditation, finds himself filming his pantry door night after night after finding it open every morning when he gets up. This is what a sane person does, as there is no way his wife or two kids got up in the middle of the night for a SPAM, and peanut butter sandwich and forgot to close it. It's haunted, and John is going to prove it. We then watch a pantry door open at 12:34 am around one thousand times, until his wife finally says, "Maybe you should just take the door off of it." Not wanting to rule anything out, he follows his wife's advice, unleashing a semi-hostile entity named Mabel into the house. Mabel begins to lightly haunt the family on a semi-regular basis. But one night, Mabel pulls the daughter's hair and tricks her into staring directly at a light bulb. In response, John and his family move out. Years later, His wife divorces him. The end.

That's about the whole thing. The meat of the documentary is much shorter than the 40-minute runtime. Because every time anything "paranormal" happens John replays the footage over and over again killing any momentum or atmosphere. I did enjoy when it's explained how after capturing all this super real footage, of a super real ghost, they proceeded to upload it onto "The Internet!" Not any specific website though, just the internet in general.

Anyways, this is a piece of fluff that has an unlimited amount of doppelgangers on Youtube. Yes, Youtube, not just the Internet. Although, saying it like that reminds me of an Aqua Teen Hunger Force episode where Master Shake keeps clicking on the pop-up ads. Those were simpler times on "The Internet."

Is it weird that this "Documentary" makes me want to seek out other completely real and true horror docs to review here...I think I will, and you can't stop me.
