DasBobsWorld Presents - The Action Movie Showdown!!!!

It has begun! DasBobsWorld's Action Movie Showdown!

Action films crave competition. They all have a need to be the best. A need to drive fast, fight hard, shoot straight, and quip like a maniac. When I think of all the action movies I have seen in my lifetime, how do I pick which one is best? Which one has the best fights? Which one is the most intense, or has the best car chases? Which one has the most repeatable lines, and memorable battles? Well, here at DasBobsWorld, we have decided it is time to find out!

Now, every time I watch an action film, I will judge it based on a set of categories that will be unique to each film. I will rate them using a specialized point system that involves five unique things each movie brings to the table and how well it does them. These categories will then be graded with a score of one to ten, with ten being better. Then the whole thing will be added up for an Official Action Showdown score that will give them their proper ranking in action movie history. But, wait, there's more! Each movie can be awarded up to five bonus points based on any scenes and characters that stand out and deserve special praise. That means the best a movie can score will be 55 points! If there is a tie, the movie with the most bonus points will be considered better, and if there is a tie after that, it will be decided by personal bias, as it is my list.

You might be wondering what I consider an action film, as a lot of action movies have been placed in other genres as well. Movies I am choosing for this are movies that I believe are action films first, and the other genres after. For movies in which I know nothing about, I will reference IMDB and other sites to see what genre they consider the film to be part of. I doubt I will be hurting for movies to watch.

As more movies are rated I will make a list to show where they stand in action annuls of history. This will go on until I have reviewed every action movie of all time, or die, of natural causes or not. Now, remember these rankings and ratings are for fun and are the personal opinion of DasBob.
